Iñigo Casafont Parra is a lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Cellular Biology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cantabria. He is part of the consolidated Research Group “Nanomedicine” of the Valdecilla Health Institute IDIVAL. During his 20-year of scientific career, he has received predoctoral and postdoctoral scholarships as well as an award for the best Ph.D theses of the year in the field of biomedicine in the University of Cantabria. He has also been awarded 2 prizes for the best communication in congresses in the field of cell biology. He has researched in laboratories in Spain and Portugal and has participated in 30 scientific publications. As a collaborator, he has participated in 18 research projects and 2 scientifics networks. In the last 10 years he has directed more than 10 final degree projects and has been evaluator of more than 16. He has also been member of the academic commission tutoring three doctoral theses and evaluating two.
