Borja García García graduated in Physics from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and obtained a Master's degree in Science and Engineering of Light from the University of Cantabria (UC). This academic background fostered his strong interest in optics and photonics. Through the Investigo program, he began his research career at the Instituto de Investigación Marqués de Valdecilla (IDIVAL). He currently serves as a researcher in the Photonic Engineering Group at the University of Cantabria, where he focuses on developing advanced photonic devices and integrating spectroscopic techniques, such as fluorescence and Raman, to analyze water quality and detect microorganisms.
