Covadonga García San Nicolás Cantero is a psychologist currently completing her specialization in Neuropsychology at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (2018), an M.Sc. in Neuromarketing and Consumer Behavior from the Complutense University of Madrid (2019), and an M.Sc. in General Health Psychology from the University of Oviedo (2021). She has gained clinical experience working with both adult and child populations across various healthcare settings. Her growing interest in clinical research led her to join the IDIVAL Biomedical Research Institute, where she contributed as a research technician in the Research and Innovation in Surgery Group. She is currently part of the Mental Health Research Group at IDIVAL, where she is involved in several research projects, including QUIJOTE, which explores the risk in children of patients with psychosis; INGENIA, focused on pharmacogenetics in children receiving psychiatric medication; and JA-PRISM, a European project aimed at reducing distress in vulnerable individuals through the promotion of good mental health. She aims to continue developing her professional career in this field. In 2025, she was awarded the Marta Barceló Award in recognition of the best oral presentation for her talk titled "Cognitive Endophenotypes in Siblings of Individuals with Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders: Exploring Subgroup Vulnerability" at the V European Meeting on Women's Mental Health. The same year, she presented a poster titled "Evaluación Neuropsicológica del Chemobrain: A propósito de un caso clínico" at the XI Laboratorio de Ideas of CIBERSAM.
