Ivan Bedia Viscarolasaga

Ivan Bedia earned his BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of the Basque Country in 2022. After a brief research stay at CIC nanoGUNE in Donostia/San Sebastián, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Biomedicine and Molecular Oncology at the University of Oviedo. During this time, he was awarded a JAE Intro Grant from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) to participate in a project investigating the regulation of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) in the context of cellular senescence induced by SARS-CoV-2 infection at the Instituto de Biomedicina y Biotecnología de Cantabria (IBBTEC). In 2025, he joined the Clinical Trials Unit in the Department of Medical Oncology at Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, where he currently works as a study coordinator.
