MEng in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Cantabria, specialized in medical and health technologies (MEng Project: "Study and Design of Endoscopes for Biomedical Applications"). MSc in Organization and Logistics Engineering from the Madrid Carlos III University (MSc Project: "R&D&i Transfer in Biomedicine"). Innovation Management Expert Degree from the University of Cantabria (Expert Degree Project: "Capacity of innovation in the medical and health technologies sector"). Specialized courses in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer such us the "European Patent Law Program" organized by the EOI and CEIPI-EPI, as well as an internship in "Isis Innovation. Oxford University" within the Program "Technology Transfer Secondments." Certified by the European Knowledge & Technology Transfer Society as "EuKTS Professional." She works in IDIVAL as Technology Transfer Manager since 2010. The main tasks she develops in the Technology Transfer Office of IDIVAL are the following: - Management of innovation projects. Complying and monitoring all the processes established by the standard UNE 166002:2014 "R&D&i management: R&D&i management system requirements". - Protect all Intellectual Property (IP) interests of IDIVAL according to corporate IP/Patent Strategy. - Review IDIVAL researchers' inventions for legal protection. - Decide on the appropriate form(s) of IP for inventions. - Conduct prior art searches and strategic landscape Intellectual Property (IP) information and analysis, patent watching services and research communication on the subject of strategic patent intelligence. - Draft the patent application directly and/or coordinate selected external IP counsels to do so. - Direct first filing Spanish applications and/or international extension applications according to IDIVAL patent strategy and in conformance with Spanish national law. - Manage the patent examination process and prosecute each patent application in such a way that each patent is granted with the optimal degree of protection for IDIVAL taking into consideration the commercial strategy of the foundation. - Maintain patent portfolio data integrity. - Decide on maintenance of patent families including annuity reviews where necessary. - Contribute to the review and development of IDIVAL IP policies and processes. - Provide advice on patent and IP matters to corporate functions. - Articulate and negotiate all the contracts in the KT field (confidentiality agreements, research collaboration agreements, material transfer agreements, co-ownership patent agreements, license agreements, etc.). - Marketing and commercialization of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). - Support in the creation of spinouts and spinoff from the research groups of IDIVAL. - Participation in the ITEMAS Platform - www.itemas.org . - Provide IP training courses. Since 2011, assessor of the "National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective" (ANEP, MINECO) within the Technology Transfer Area. She also participates as assessor in various calls related to technological development and innovation projects of other organizations, such as the "Instituto de Salud Carlos III" (ISCIII) and the "Fundación para la innovación y la prospectiva en salud en España " (FIPSE). She previously worked as consultant engineer at "EADS Casa Espacio" (currently "Airbus Defense and Space") in R&D&I projects for the "European Space Agency" (ESA) and as external staff at the "National Institute for Aerospace Technology" (INTA).
