Objetivos del proyecto
The Future of Artificial Intelligence Trained for HF detection & Upgrading Latest technology (FAITHFUL) project seeks to address this issue of diagnosis in patients with HF. The current system of HF diagnosis is reactionary, based on the symptoms that patients exhibit. This is inefficient and cannot keep up with the growing population of HF patients, with most current patients ending up with a diagnosis only when they are admitted to the hospital to treat their symptoms. As one of the first steps in the diagnosis pathway is the ECG, our proposal plans to address this issue by utilizing an algorithm on the ECG that can give a patient an HF score, providing more information to Primary Care Physicians to help them make more informed decisions about next steps, even before the patient is experiencing symptoms.
