Valentín Castillo Salcines, Technician in Digital Cartography and Geographic Information Systems, Department of Geography, Urbanism and Spatial Planning, University of Cantabria (Spain). He is also a member of the Research Group in Health Economics and Health Services Management. Master in Geographic Information Systems (SITGE-University of Girona). His main lines of research are focused on Geographic Information Technologies, in which he has more than 20 years of experience. He has published in relevant journals, such as: International J. of Environmental Research and Public Health or International Journal of Geo-Information, among others. Additionally, he has experience in development cooperation projects, with several campaigns in Africa in countries such as Togo or Rwanda.
