Sara Pérez Pereda

Staff Neurologist at University Hospital Marques de Valdecilla, where I did the training as a specialist in Neurology between 2014 and 2018. I currently have a Río Hortega contract from the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid, since January 2021, developing several research projects in the Headache Unit of the Neurology service. I obtained my Degree in Medicine at the University of Oviedo in 2013. During the speciality of Neurology, I stayed during 2 months at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. After the end of the residence period, I had several temporal contracts as staff Neurologist at the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla, University Hospital of Salamanca, and University Hospital Central de Asturias, in addition to enjoying a pre-doctoral fellowship from IDIVAL from February 2019 to April 2020. I have been linked to the Research Group of "Headaches and other non-degenerative neurological diseases" from IDIVAL since 2016, participating as a sub-researcher in several research projects, while developing my Doctoral Thesis in the field of Headaches. I am a PhD student at the University of Cantabria since 2016, studying biomarkers for migraine. I have continued my postgraduate training, completing the Titles of University Expert in Statistics Applied to Health Sciences of the UNED (2020) and Expert in Headaches of the Francisco de Vitoria University (2020). I have made more than 30 posters and communications to national and international conferences, as well as participated in at least 10 publications in indexed scientific journals, of which I am the first author in 5.
