Esther Onecha is Biologist in the department of genetics, focused on analysis by mass sequencing or NGS. Graduated in biology with a specialty in sanitary biology from the Faculty of Biology at the University of Oviedo, she completed a Master's Degree in Biomedical Research from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Valladolid where she worked for two years on innate immunity. He continued his professional career at Hospital 12 de Octubre within the area of Translational Hematology where he combined his healthcare work with his research work in a clinical development agreement between the national center for cancer research CNIO developing a massive sequencing project to determine the mutational profile in patients with acute myeloid leukemia, and response to ex vivo anti-leukemia drugs that culminated in his doctoral thesis for the Faculty of Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid. After also practicing as a data bioanalyst and focusing as a bioinformatician thanks to the master's degree in computational biology that she carries, she began her work as a geneticist of hereditary diseases at the Marques de Valdecilla Hospital, where she mainly develops clinical genetic diagnosis.
