I am a passionate scientist and educator specializing in neurobiology and neuropsychology, with over 15 years of experience dedicated to the study of the brain in both basic and applied research. I hold two accredited research six-year periods (sexenios) and have authored more than 30 scientific publications. I earned my PhD cum laude in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Cantabria, where I received the Extraordinary Doctoral Award for the best PhD thesis in Health Sciences. The prevention of cognitive decline and the promotion of brain health through a healthy lifestyle are among my top priorities in research and science outreach. As a coordinator of clinical trials on cognitive impairment, my commitment extends beyond research — I support patients and their caregivers throughout every step of the process. Currently, my work focuses on Alzheimer’s research within the Neurodegenerative Diseases Group at IDIVAL, while also combining this with my roles as a neuropsychologist and university lecturer. As a professional, I aim to continue making a positive contribution to the field of neuroscience, through both research and teaching.
