María García Martínez is Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Cognitive Impairment Unit (Neurology), Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital–IDIVAL (Santander, Spain) since 2017; member of IDIVAL’s Neurodegenerative Diseases Group and Visiting Researcher in the Department of Brain Sciences, Imperial College London (from 2023). Degrees: Licentiate in Psychology (UPSA, 2007), Master’s in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and Cognitive Stimulation (UAB–Institut Guttmann, 2012), and Master’s in Neurosciences (ISEP, 2017). Accredited Psychologist Expert in Clinical Neuropsychology (2017) and certified CDR Rater (2018). She collaborates with the Photonics Engineering Group (University of Cantabria) in TeDFES and MIES projects on photonic technologies for early detection and healthy ageing (since 2019). Sub-investigator (rater) in Alzheimer’s disease trials—gantenerumab, crenezumab (CREAD1/2), BAN2401/AHEAD 3-45, EVOKE/EVOKE+ and AVP-786—and contributor to Valdecilla cohort and plasma/CSF biomarker studies. Co-author of peer-reviewed publications (first/corresponding author on accelerated long-term forgetting and the LAM Test); she currently combines clinical and research work with completion of her doctoral thesis. Research lines: preclinical Alzheimer’s disease; cognitive markers; plasma/CSF and ocular biomarkers; neuropsychological phenotyping; healthy ageing.
