Degree in Chemical Engineering, Master in Biomedicine and Molecular Biology and currently studying a PhD in Chemical Engineering at University of Cantabria. Experienced in the synthesis of micro- and nanofiber membranes with biocompatible polymers by conventional- and coaxialelectrospinning techniques and further membrane characterization by densitometry, SEM, TGA and DTA analysis. Project carried out during my degree’s thesis “Synthesis of polymeric hollow microfibers by electrospinning: tuning and optimization of variables” in the department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at University of Cantabria. Further specialisation in the biomedical field through a collaboration internship of 9 months in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at University of Cantabria during my Master’sthesis “Mesenchymal stem cells as delivery vehicles for neuropathic pain”. Advanced knowledge and experience in culturing, transfection, co-culturing, cell viability, and cell characterization techniques with mesenchymal stem cell (ASC52telo) and neuroblastoma (SHSY-5Y) cell lines. Also experienced in molecular biology techniques -DNA and RNA extraction and purification, RT-PCR and qPCR-, and in vivo model of neuropathic pain.
