Juan Ignacio Ochagavías Colás

Juan Ignacio Ochagavías Colás holds a PhD in Biolaw from the University of Murcia, awarded with the highest distinction (cum laude). He obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedicine, Biotechnology and European Union Law (UNED), as well as a Specialist Diploma in Health Systems and Patients’ Rights (Cantabrian Health Service). He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher within the Health Law and Bioethics Research Group at the Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute Foundation (IDIVAL). He is the author of several scientific publications in books and peer-reviewed journals on Health Law and Bioethics. As a member of the Health Law and Bioethics Research Group at IDIVAL, he has been involved in numerous projects in these areas. In addition, he has served as a lecturer on the Master’s in Health Services Management and Administration organised by the University of Cantabria and on the Master’s in Innovation Management at Nebrija University. He has also contributed to seminars held at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, the Sierrallana Regional Hospital, IDIVAL, and the University of the Basque Country. Moreover, he has been invited as a guest lecturer at several international institutions, including the University of Bergen, MCI Innsbruck, the University of Toulouse, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, and Ghent University.
