María Lado Codesido

María Lado Codesido is a psychiatrist (MD, PhD) currently working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit at the Regional Hospital of Laredo.
 
She earned her medical degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2006–2012) and completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University Hospital Complex of A Coruña (2013–2017).
 
From 2017 to 2024, she worked at the Donostia University Hospital, gaining experience in both adult psychiatry and the Child and Adolescent Acute Psychiatric Unit.
 
Between 2016 and 2022, she completed her doctoral thesis at the University of Santiago de Compostela. During this period, she authored three publications focusing on emotional recognition in schizophrenia, two of them published in Q1 and Q2 journals.
 
In 2022, she was honored with the "Ignacio María Barriola" award for the Best Doctoral Thesis of the Year, presented by the Guipúzcoa Medical College.
