Specialist in Digestive System with special dedication to research in Hepatology and Liver Transplants. Researcher of a consolidated group dedicated to research in hepatology of the IDIVAL Sanitary Research Institute. Main areas of work are the complications of cirrhosis, liver transplantation and liver disease due to fatty deposits. He has extensive experience in research studies in hepatology. Teaching activities include that of associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cantabria.
