Dr. Pedro Muñoz is responsible for the emergent research group of the IDIVAL Community Health. He is a specialist in family and community medicine, trained at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital and the Cazoña Health Centre, master in Public health. He works in the Management of Primary Care of Cantabria, in the training unit, playing the position of public health technician since the year 1998. With specific training in research methodology and statistical analysis. He has been part of the research groups of IDIVAL: Neurosciences in clinical and genetics of Headaches (1996 - 2011), Transplantation and Autoimmunity (2012 - 2016). Participation in 8 national competitive research projects (6 ISC III, 1 CDTI, 1 SEMFyC-PACAP), 4 IDIVAL regional projects. Coauthor of over 60 publications indexed in JCR. Index H of 17 in WOS, director of 19 doctoral theses. Editor of the journal Diabetes Practice since 2011. Research areas: clinical and epidemiology of headache, autoimmune diseases, diabetes mellitus type 2, smoking. It is also part of the methodological support Group of the IDIVAL, for the design and analysis of research results.
