Rosario Fernández Peña

Rosario Fernández has an academic background in Nursing and Anthropology and holds a PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is a lecturer within the School of Nursing of the University of Cantabria since 2013. Before this, she developed teaching and research at the University of Girona, colleges and the private sector. Furthermore, Rosario worked for more than ten years as a clinical nurse in Community Care, Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit in Barcelona. Her research focuses on the application of Social Network Analysis (SNA) in Health (social support in patients with long-term conditions and their caregivers, health behaviours, quality of life and disease transmission). She is also interested in teaching methodologies in higher education, specifically in Reflective Learning.
