María Kislikova

Maria Kislikova is nephrology consultant in the University Hospital "Marqués de Valdecilla", Santander, Spain and PhD student at University of Cantabria. She has a degree in Medicine from the University Pavol Jozef Safarik, Kosice, Slovakia and afterwords she carried out the Nephrology residency between 2011 and 2015 at the University Hospital "Marqués de Valdecilla" in Santander, Spain. She spends almost 3 years as visiting research fellow at the Nephrology department in Royal Free Hospital, University College London, UK. Her current research is focused on cardiovascular changes produced during chronic kidney diseases, especially vessel smooth muscle cells, matrix changes of vessel media and uremic toxins. Until now she has received some research grants as principal investigator and has been a co-investigator of several projects as a member of the Nephrology department of the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla. She is a part of the group of young nephrologists involved in research – JOVSEN, linked to the Spanish Society of Nephrology.
